Graphic Designer & Illustrator

Hi, I am a graphic designer, I enjoy my profession, the process of thinking, analyzing and learning, to create and communicate in each project.

I studied a degree in graphic design, and a diploma in Publishing Design, at Univer Universidad de Mexicali, B.C. Mexico.  Shortly before finishing my studies, I started my internship and had the opportunity to work for 8 years in a design and advertising agency. There I learned from many talented people, who with their discipline, creativity and passion, taught me to strengthen my creative skills and enjoy my work. During this period of time, I had the opportunity to work freelance for Editorial Monte Negro, to collaborate in the layout design of school books, in a 3 month project.

Later, I decided to take the opportunity to enter the health sector of the  State, and there opens the opportunity to design a campaign for the prevention of cancer in women. Opening my way to explore the area of illustration. After working for other agencies and as a freelancer, I decided to move to Ireland to advance my English language studies, in order to enter a master’s degree in Interactive Digital Media at Griffith College Dublin.

My experience is mainly based on advertising, branding, corporate image, editorial design and illustration. With the ambition to venture into web design and animation.

Education

I made the decision to pursue a master’s degree after a few years of working in the field and building up my experience to improve my skills. This gave me the opportunity to test my skills in new directions and explore talents I had been attempting to hone in order to get into this line of work and which I am still studying, including web design and animation.

Publishing design was one of the aspects of graphic design that I found appealing. After completing my degree, I looked into this field, and a few years later I discovered an opportunity to enroll in a publishing design diploma program.

My interest in graphic design as a career was piqued during my final semester of high school when I read the book “Funky Business”, which was a major factor in my decision to begin my university studies. That I studied from 2005 to 2008 in Mexicali, B.C., Mexico, my hometown.
